I got involved in the Jabber community in November 1999. Since then I've written  documentation for various projects (jabberd 1.x, Winjab, etc.), probably 80% of the [http://www.jabber.org/jeps/ Jabber Enhancement Proposals], all the [http://www.xmpp.org/specs/ XMPP RFCs], etc. I've also been [http://www.jabber.org/jeps/editor.shtml JEP Editor] since the inception of the JSF in 2001, http://www.jabber.org/jsf/secretary.shtml Secretary] of the [http://www.jabber.org/jsf/ Jabber Software Foundation] (JSF) from 2001 through 2005, JSF [http://www.jabber.org/jsf/execdir.shtml Executive Director] since 2002, Chair of the [http://www.jabber.org/council/ Jabber Council] for 2004-2005 and 2005-2006, etc. In addition to my official JSF duties, I run the [http://www.xmpp.net/ XMPP Federation], maintain [http://proxy65.jabberstudio.org Proxy65] (though not very well, want to take it over?), administer [http://www.jabberstudio.org JabberStudio], give a lot of talks and presentations on Jabber/XMPP technologies at technical conferences, etc.

I would like to retain my membership because I am still very much committed to improving Jabber/XMPP technologies and I would like to run for the  [http://www.jabber.org/council/ Jabber Council] again.
