My name is Matthew Miller (linuxwolf@outer-planes.net, linuxwolf@outer-planes.net). I am employed by Mozilla as a software engineer.
I've been working with and on Jabber/XMPP since late 2000. First as admin help for others running jabberd1.4, then developing solutions atop XMPP for my employers. I started JSO to aid in this development.
I joined the XSF at its inception in 2001. I was on XSF the council 2003-2005, then again in 2010 through 2012. I was a member of the XEP Editor team. I have authored, co-authored, and contributed to numerous XEPs and a few Internet-Drafts.

Council
I have been a member of the Council; where I've reviewed, commented, and voted on various other XEPs.
XEP Editor Team
I was a member of the XEP Editor team, who are responsible for publishing and maintaining all of the XMPP Extension Protocol (XEP) documents. This includes accepting new proposals; publishing updates from authors; processing advancements to Active/Draft/Final; and announcing last calls, deferments, etc.
IETF
Beyond the XMPP-related internet-drafts, I've also contributed to the following Working Groups as the IETF:
I am an author/editor for the following documents:
- Domain Name Associations (DNA) in the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP)
- Using DNS-Based Authentication of Named Entities (DANE) TLSA Records with SRV Records
- Using PKIX over Secure HTTP (POSH)
- Examples of Protecting Content using JSON Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE)
