Plans with XMPP are to continue working to improve Buddycloud, get node-xmpp-* projects to their 1.0.0 release, continue to release more modules with xmpp-ftw, and some other interesting projects on the backlog.

I'm all about making XMPP more accessible to (web) developers in order to increase its usage.
