Kim Alvefur Application 2020

Hello, I'm Kim "Zash" Alvefur and I would like to continue being a member of the XSF.

By day I do DevOps Stuff™ as either a subcontractor or trainee at CGI. Might get back to Prosody/XMPP consulting at some point.

By night I'm mostly tired, doing not much and waiting for The Pandemic to end.

XMPP

I spend some free time doing open source work on Prosody and Prosody accessories. Sometimes I file a few issues in other software or submit the patch.

Earlier this year I launched BadXMPP, a set of XMPP hosts with messed up configuration for testing against.

XSF

I'm on Council for the 2019-2020 term and (at the time of this writing) standing for the 2020-2021 term. At least one meeting attended was juggled with ice cream and basking in the sun.

I'm also on the Infrastructure Team, where I try to take care of the XMPP server hosting the XSF MUCs and occasionally restart a docker container.
