  • Before we issue a Last Call, Peter Saint-Andre has created a pull request to address earlier feedback from JC Brand: https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1295
• GSoC contingency plans / other student programs
  • New: Eddie will attend the GSoC 2023 Mentor Summit. Eddie will call for input to participate or event initiate a session / hold a presentation. If you have any input you want me to mention or communicate please reach out. Eddie will also call the XSF members for their input.
• Recruiting new / renewing existing sponsors
  • Eddie started: XSF Sponsoring Dialogue Please review and provide your input so I can communicate to members

New Business

• X (previously Twitter) now requires a paid subscription of 84$ per year to use services like TwitterDeck. That now excludes anyone with remote-permissions. We have about 2300 followers on X (and more than 3100 on Fosstodon). We should decide on whether we:
  • Pay the bill
  • From JC Brand: https://crossposter.masto.donte.com.br/
    • Does this require X premium features and/or direct account access?
  • Discuss again access to the main account. I really don't see the severe problem here. We can discuss expectations, and frequently exchange the password and thereby also frequently decide who has access.
  • Delete and deprecate the X (Twitter) account
