Introduction:
I have been earning a living with XMPP for over 15 years. I am a key member of Ignite Realtime community and have contributed code over the years to various XMPP-based software projects that include Openfire, Spark and mostly recently a new project for a unified communications XMPP client called Pàdé.
I am systems integrator by profession and currently the tech lead for real-time communications for industrioushive.com. Previous to that, I was the CTO of TraderLynk and before that I was Chief Solutions Architect for BT (British Telecom).

Purpose of applying:
I have been heavily involved in using XMPP beyond a basic messaging and presence protocol. I have authored a private XEP called Openlink that is used in the financial community by capital banks like Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and Credit Suisse to power the real-time communication call-control features of their voice communication systems.
I came to FOSDEM 2019 on a suggestion to present Pàdé and interacted with XSF members. I had a very positive experience and decided that I wanted to get more involved.
