Revision as of 20:05, 1 July 2005

My name is Peter Saint-Andre and I am once again applying to retain my JSF membership.

History

I have been contributing to the Jabber/XMPP community since late 1999 and have been a member of the JSF since its inception in 2001. I have contributed very little code to the community. Instead, I focus on documentation -- since 2002 especially protocol documentation. I've written lots of JEPs, I've been the JEP Editor since 2001, I've been Executive Director of the JSF since 2002, for 2004-2005 I've been Chair of the Jabber Council, etc.

This Year's Protocols

In the last 12 months I've authored or co-authored the following approved protocol specifications within the IETF and JSF (plus other documents that are works in progress):

Admin Stuff

In addition to my JEP work, I also:

  • maintain www.jabber.org and www.xmpp.org
  • help to administer [JabberStudio
  • help to admin the jabber.org XMPP server
  • administer all of the jabber.org mailing lists
  • administer this wiki
  • etc.

Why I'm Applying

I'm reapplying to the JSF because Jabber is my life.
