Context: recent discussion on the standards list about a new bookmarks XEP.

Use cases

In descending order of priority (and thus in descending order of simplicity of UX):

  1. Simple default case: all joins and parts to MUCs are synced on all devices
  2. Dumb MUC-JID list that can be accessed across all devices, without autojoin.
  3. "Spare the mobile some battery": some MUCs shouldn’t be joined on a mobile device, but on all non-mobile devices
