Experience
I've been a heavy user and advocate of XMPP since 2004.
I've served as director for dozens of 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and helped with fund raising, outreach, volunteer engagement, and building a positive public image.
This will be my 4th year serving on the XSF Board of Directors.
Goals for 2018
If re-elected, one of my primary goals will be new member outreach especially in regard to diversity. This process started with launching SCAM (Summits, Conferences, and Meetups), I believe it should continue through interaction with other communities such as frontend Javascript developers, UX designers, and FOSS groupchat projects such as Zulip.
I would also like to focus on sponsorships for specific events such as regional hackathons and meetups.
