Previous applications - 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025.
A contributor to both Openfire (and very occasionally the other Ignite Realtime projects) and the XMPP Interop Project, and finishing up my 3rd term on Council. Hopefully, I've contributed well to conversations in my first 2 summits, both 2026.
I like to think that someone with a software _testing_ background can contribute something a little different to an XMPP conversation, whether that's about standards or about software. I regularly hold conversations with software developers, talking the talk, but hiding the fact that I'm a complete fraud and rarely would anyone pay me for my code.
Upcoming goals are to finally get round to publishing some local implementations of experimental XEPs (as Openfire Plugins), to continue work on Openfire and Openfire Plugin automated testing, and to fix some of the many many issues I've opened.
