Notes

Previous applications - 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

A contributor to both Openfire (and very occassionally the other Ignite Realtime projects) and the XMPP Interop Project, and beginning my 3rd term on Council. I'll be attending my first Summit in Jan 2026.

I like to think that someone with a software _testing_ background can contribute something a little different to an XMPP conversation, whether that's about standards or about software. In reality, I can still feel like a charlatan a lot of the time, talking with developers when I'm someone who rarely codes for money, but that lessens year on year.

Here, dwd would make a witty joke. It's 2025, and so it should probably be about AI. If you think Dave's better at writing jokes than I am... You're exactly right! I've got nothing.
