History
I've been involved with the Jabber community since late 2000. I've been a member of the XSF since it's inception in 2001, and have previously served on the 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010 XSF Councils.
Contributions
My primary contribution has been as a senior engineer and architect of XMPP client libraries for Cisco, Inc. and a Professional Services Engineer for Jabber, Inc.. I also developed JSO (a low-level XMPP library for Java).

I am also working on a replacement to RFC 3923: End-to-end Object Encryption for XMPP.
Priorities
My primary goals for 2011 are:
- To help develop and promote usable protocol(s) for end-to-end encryption.
- To help develop and promote options for improving message delivery across multiple resources
- To apply my years of experience on messaging technologies to the current generation of XSF work
