Background
I'm the Director of R&D at Intridea, Inc. We develop Present.ly, the enterprise microblogging platform, which runs on Rails, an XMPP backend, and a BOSH front-end.
Contributions
- One of the lead architects of Present.ly, one of the few large XMPP applications out in the wild.
- ruby_bosh -- a BOSH session initializer Ruby library
- Minor contributions to XMPP4R
- Spoke at LA RubyConf about XMPP
- Wrote a series of blog posts that promote XMPP
Why I want to join
I strongly believe XMPP has a major role to play in the next two years, but lack of concise introductory documentation and best-of-breed libraries are getting in the way of increased adoption. I hope to help out more on those fronts.
