My name is Michael Grigutsch and I'm reapplying for XSF membership.

History
I am a 40 years old, living in Cologne, and studied "Rechtspflege" (a special law study here in Germany for becoming a clerk at a court). Since 2001 I'm working as computer/network administrator for the german federal government.
I'm administrating my own Jabber server since October 2003 with half a dozen of domains, most of them for other people.

I'm member of the infrastructure team, acting as one of the listmasters, postmasters and hostmasters.
Jabber - Why I like it
I like to build up and maintain communication infrastructure for other people and for myself. (I'm also radio amateur and a former sysop of a fidonet mailbox.) In my opinion, XMPP/Jabber is the best ground to build up such projects in the internet. The potential of XMPP is very big.
Plans for the future/ Why I'm reapplying
I like to continue my work in the infrastructure team. As spammers and bots are becoming a bigger problem on the federated xmpp-network I would like to help to develop new strategies against this abuse and inform other admins about known abusers.
