About Me

I'm working at the University of Bremen on my PhD Thesis (PhD). The working group I'm working with is specialized on networking and protocol design. End-to-End secure XMPP communication plays an important role in my PhD thesis. Besides that I'm the maintainer of the Freevo project.

Jabber/XMPP Activities

The personal media network, the topic of my PhD thesis, is a project I want to realize using XMPP and the Freevo project. One important part is the end-to-end security layer I worked on the last year and want to continue. My contributions to the XMPP community are the end-to-end security Internet draft (XTLS) and related XMPP extensions.

Motivation

I want to continue my work on the end-to-end security layer for XMPP and start building non-chat applications based on XMPP to create my vision of a media network; remote file access and the scheduling of recordings using XMPP are only two use cases I have in mind.
